Skyrim's Creation Kit

The Creation kit for Skyrim has been out for a while now, and I've been using it for some modding of my own.  It's made it quite apparent as to why Skyrim was released with so many bugs; the devs probably went: "It works!  Ship it out before we break something else!".

That being said, there are quite a few errors in Skyrim that can be fixed in mere seconds with the Creation kit.  Morokei, a fairly lackluster artifact, actually isn't linked to the correct enchantment.  The devs made a custom enchantment for it(+100% magick regen and -20% shout cooldown), they simply linked it to the wrong one.  The highest level Nightingale Blade can't be improved at a grindstone, simply because the improvement recipe has the 2nd highest leve blade listed as the product.  The Nightingale Bow has normal noise as opposed to silent(like every other bow), Keening has 0 listed as the enchantment level(it was probably meant to be infinte enchantments), the list goes on and on.

I'm primarily a console gamer, but having bought Skyrim for both the PS3 and the PC, I do hope bethesda gets around to implementing these changes into a future patch.  I was very excited when I received the Nightingale Blade, only to find out its damage was crap since I couldn't improve it.

My knowledge of the CK is based off of what I've learned from RPGMaker XP/VX, mostly just database editing, some basic scripting, and event/world creation.  You have to be patient with the CK, it takes a while for it to load all the elements of Skyrim.  As of yet I haven't figured out how to permanently delete entries in the CK, causing the mod I'm working on to become irrevocably linked to the Lorecraft esm after some fiddling with it.

Of all that's wrong with it, the CK has enough data in it that the modding community should be able to 'finish' Skyrim within the year.  Of course there will be plenty of waifu/sex mods, but what I'm talking about is fixing aspects of the game that are clearly broken.  In addition to that, I expect there will emerge a dominant balancing mod, one that everyone who plays skyrim should add to their game.

As many of you know, the crafting system in Skyrim is incredibly broken.  I'm not just talking about loops with restoration potions or maxing out your alchemy/enchanting/smithing perks.  On my first playthrough I maxed out the smithing and enchanting perks, made some fortify blacksmithing armor, upgraded my bow, and suddenly I could 3-shot ancient dragons.  That's not my idea of a fun game.

In my opinion, the best items in the game should be equipment you find as random loot or get from specific quests, not something you can make after an hour of crafting in Whiterun.  -100% spell casting cost means you can cast spells from that school for free, making most of the mage perks irrelevant.  While it is immensely fun to disintegrate a dragon from afar with the master-level lighting spell, once again an hour in Whiterun shouldn't give you that kind of power.

On my 2nd playthrough(after glitches/lag on the PS3 murdered my first save), I decided not to pick up any enchanting perks or Daedric smithing.  This was because I intended to use the full nightingale armor+bow, instead of crafting my own equipment.  Later in the game, as I found myself using one-handed weapons more than two-handed, my investment inthe light armor tree allowed me to improve Chillrend into quite the sword.  It also made a huge impact in my adventure after a Dragon Priest dungeon, where I found a vanilla Daedric War Axe.  Beforehand, I had no idea that you could find Daedric items as world loot, so I was amazed at finding it and used my new axe almost exclusively for the next 4 or so levels.  After saving Whiterun from a Stormcloak seige at around level 50, I returned to General Tullius who promoted me and gifted me with a weapon from his personal armory: a Daedric Sword of Fire.  My jaw dropped, and for the first time finding Daedric Weapons became as rewarding as in previous Elder Scrolls games.

I also ended up using multiple Daedric artifacts, that felt as powerful as they were supposed to.  Spellbreaker could protect me from even an Ancient Dragon's breath; Dawnbreaker turned Draugr to ashes in its wake; the Ring of Namira boosted my health/stamina by a ton, etc.

tl;dr A mortal shouldn't be able to craft equipment better than a Daedric Lord

In case anyone's interested, here's the mod I've been working on in a nutshell:

-Descaled Uniques
More Specifically, I've made it so you always recieve the highest level of a unique item from a quest.  The items in question are:

  • Galdur Blackblade
  • Galdur Blackbow
  • The Pale Blade
  • Silent moons weapons
  • Tsun's Battle Axe
  • Nightingale Blade
  • Nightingale Bow
  • Chillrend
  • Dragonbane
  • Nightingale Armor set
  • Shield of Solitude
  • Amulet of Articulationn
  • Mage's Circlet
-Destruction Scaling
As I'm too much of a noob to make it so Destruction passively scales with skill level, I just made it so the perks that half the magicka cost also cause spells of that rank to scale with the player's destruction skill level.  I also doubled the power of the vampiric drain spells, and caused them to be affected by the Novice Destruction perk

-Smithing Perk Tree edit
I reduced the skill level requirement for Dragon Armor to 90, and added it to both sides of the tree before Daedric smithing.  This means going around each side of the tree costs the same amount of perk points and gets you both Dragon and Daedric Smithing.  Daedric Smithing is the peak of the tree now, requiring 100 Smithing.

-Miscellaneous Fixes
  • Nightingale Blade can now be improved at Grindstones
  • Morokei has the proper enchantment
  • Keening has 100 charges as opposed to 0
  • Nightingale Bow is now silent
-Alchemy/Enchanting Balancing
The base perks for Alchemy and Enchanting have been reduced from 20/40/60/80/100 to 20/25/30/35/40.

What I intend to add to the mod
-A call horse shout/spell
-Increase the Pickpocketing cap to 100%
-Dragon Priest Masks can be worn with Hoods and Circlets
-Smithing recipe overhaul(this is what I was trying to do with Lorecraft, but it didn't work as I had hoped): Weapons/Armor must be broken down at the forge to learn the recipe(similar to Enchanting).  Certain NPCs can teach you all the recipes for a specific material.

If you guys want I can upload the mod in its current form to Skyrimnexus, although it requires lorecraft.esm to function(even though it doesn't use anything from it).  Otherwise, here are some links to  mods that already do most of this:

YCS Atlanta and the March 2012 Banlist

I'll admit, I have been out of the game for quite a while.  From what I hear the meta's a mix of rabbits, inzects, and tgu/tengu spam.  And from the looks of YCS Atlanta, I heard right.

Top 32 Pairings

February 19th, 2012
Petriella, Kevin J. (Empty Jar) VS    Bodnar, Cody M.    (Inzektors)

Furman, Aaron C.   ( Dino Rabbit)   VS    Colin, Diego E.     (Dino Rabbit)

Machado, George Christopher  (Wind-Ups)    VS    Pascariello, Anthony F.     (Wind-Ups)

Giorlando, Joseph A.   (Dino Rabbit)    VS    Vo, Anthony J.     (Dino Rabbit)

Lefevre, Samuel Lee     (Wind-Ups)    VS   Heath, Matthew Joseph     (Wind-Ups)

Duong, Ken Sun    (Wind-Ups)    vs.    Oxendine, John Edward     (Wind-Ups)

Lux, Michael Joseph     (Dino Rabbit)    vs.    Sarhan, Nizar S.     (Dino Rabbit)

Albans, Alistar C.     (Dino Rabbit)    vs.    Henderson, Marquis Everett     (Tech Genus)

Shah, Ankit    (Dino Rabbit)    vs.    Lafon, Julien J.     (Wind-Ups)

Colajezzi, Carolyn M.     (Dino Rabbit)    vs.    Vo, Thomas L.    (Wind-Ups)

Smith-Grant, Michael E.     (Evolsaurs)    vs.    Tinsley, Tyree Samuel     (Wind-Ups)

Newberry, Nicholas Tyler    (Inzektors)    vs.    Keys, Barrett A.    ( Dino Rabbit)

Keener, Camden R.     (Hyperion)    vs.    Towler, Evan G.     (Dino Rabbit)

Bryant, Robert     (Dark World)    vs.    Buck, Branden J.     (Tech Genus)

Harris, Joshua Lee    (Dino Rabbit)   vs.    Aguero, Hansel    ( Dino Rabbit)

Rodriguez, Roman    ( Dino Rabbit)    vs.    Saldivar, Francisco Adrian    (Dino Rabbit)

Totaling up at 15 Dino Rabbit, 9 Wind-Ups, 2 Inzektors and TGs, and singles of DW, Agents, Evolsaurs, and an Empty Jar.

Can't say the results were unexpected, Dino Rabbit is a bit too powerful with Tour Guide.  Oddly though Inzektors only got 2 in top 32, similar to another hyped equip-cards-as-monsters-centric-deck *cough*DRAGUNITIES*cough*.  Sorry, something in my keyboard.

Anyways, Tech Genus won it, proving yet again that the meta can always be countered.  Another anti-meta deck had a strong showing; Michael Lam went 7-2 day one with Disaster Dragon, giving us Dragon players some representation at the top tables during the event.

I don't have much to say, I mean basically the meta is Rabbit spam/wind-up loop, you either have to play that or a deck build to defeat that in order to win any high-level events.  The banlist won't do much to fix that, but it's still a pretty good list.

Straight from Shriek:

Listed are only the CHANGES

03/01/2012

Forbidden Cards 「禁止カード」:

Glow-Up Bulb 「グローアップ・バルブ」
This disappointed me, seeing as it was the key level one tuner I've been using in Psychics.  Luckily I never got around to investing in one!  I was calling for a ban on this in September, as a free +1 that can lead to Barkion/Beast lockdowns, and some nutty T.G. Hyper Librarian plays.  In any case, worthy of a ban, even if I am a little biased.

Spore 「スポーア」
Guess Konami finished selling GENF Special Editions.  More hate on Synchro monsters, although I've never been a big fan of spore(left him out of my Plant/Psychic deck).  I haven't payed much attention to the meta lately, but this little guy could probably pull off some crazy XYZ plays as well.  His time to go then.

Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier 「氷結界の龍 トリシューラ」
This upset me because I have a Trish, and because Konami's hating on a great synchro for Dragons.  That's not to see he isn't arguably the most broken synchro ever, but I enjoyed him while it lasted.  This'll stop the Dewloren loop(Not that wind-ups can't do it just as well without trish), and general hurp durping with synchro spam deck.  Similar to back when Goyo was banned, I'll miss him, but I won't miss having him used against me.

Trap Dustshoot 「ダスト・シュート」
Aw shucks.  There goes my late-game Dragon Ravine fodder.  With everyone and their mother using it now, probably time for Dustshoot to take a seat on the bench.  This card wins games, and is what's part of makes going first so important.  About time, but again I'll miss the ol' Shoot scoop.
Restriction Cards 「制限カード」:

Tech Genus Striker 「TG-ストライカー」
Yep, good call.  It won't be as powerful with trish gone, but a cydra tuner/floater is too good to have at 3.  Maybe we'll see some T.G. builds actually start running Rush Rhino now.

Agent of Mystery, Earth 「神秘の代行者 アース」
Good, Good.  If they were to hit any card in Agents, Earth was the best pick.

Semi-Restriction Cards 「準制限カード」:

Marshmallon 「マシュマロン」
Burn decks, burn decks everywhere.  Nah, just kidding.  Nothing too special about this(-2 earth, +2 marshmallon!  New meta agents!).

Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner 「ライトロード・サモナー ルミナス」
More Lightsworn love to sell Dragons Collide?  Sure.  More Lumina means more consistent and less sacky lightsworns, and she's doubly good with Xyzs around.

Emergency Teleport 「緊急テレポート」
A good start, but we're going to need another level 1 tuner to go with it.  I'm not asking for much... just a level 1 vanilla psychic tuner, an Earth type would be great.

Okay, maybe I'm too demanding.  This is great for psychics, just incredible.  Thank you Konami.

Shien's Smoke Signal 「紫炎の狼煙
I'm fine with Samurai's making a comeback... as soon as you ban Gateway.  Just because you drew Gateway does not mean you deserve to win.

Level Limit Area B 「レベル制限B地区」
Guess this doesn't have much of a point with Xyzs everywhere.

Torrential Tribute 「激流葬」
Oh boy here we go.  Psychic format guys.  Good call by Konami, hopefully it'll make dino-rabbiters think more carefully about which beast they throw down turn one.

Ultimate Offering「血の代償」
Probably should've limited this, but okay.  Gadget Xyzs are still pretty broken, but this keeps my lulzy Dragunity Quasar combo intact.

Reborn Tengu 「Reborn Tengu」
About time.  Shit's broken, pardon my french.  People will still use it at 2, it just won't be as annoying to deal with.  Great call.

No longer restricted 「準制限」

Call of the Haunted 「リビングデッドの呼び声」
Awwwwwww YEAAAAH!  Triplicate Call everywhere!  Since Xyz Reborn is out, and reborn is still here, Call deserverd some love.  And lucky for me, I run it in all my decks.  While the banlist may not have hit some things it should have, this right here makes me excited for the new format.  -1 Dustshoot, +1 call.

As you may have extracted, I'm pretty damn happy with the banlist.  Now we just need to limit rabbit, semi/limit tour guide, ban sangan(sorry lil' guy), limit hornet, limit zenmaighty, ban hunter, and things should be good.  But that would cut too deep into Konami's pockets for them, so we'll just have to wait out the storm.  Hope you all enjoy the next format as much as I do!

Dragons Collide and Galactic Overlord

As you may have heard on my last YouTube video, I've been looking forward to the new dragons in Galactic Overlord/Dragons Collide.  Many people having been bashing the 'Chaos Dragons', and while they aren't the best cards for a typical Disaster Dragon deck, they do have their niche to fill.  Galactic Overlord has several dragons that will be good for all dragon decks: A multitude of powerful xyz and an awesome new archetype.  In this post I'll go over some of the best ones from each set.

Dragons Collide

This guy was quite terrifying when the first spoiler was released, but a text change saved us all from another Hanewata format.  Basically, when this guy hits the grave you get to revive a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon(REDMD).  Great for chaining Call of the Haunted, Torrential Tribute, etc.  Think of him as a Decoy Dragon with 2500 attack and less restrictive conditions.  Speaking of which, 2500 attack on a level 6.  That's incredible.  This helps to make him less of a dead draw as you can normal summon him quite easily.  His 'Chaos' aspect is pretty neat as well, although rather lackluster in standard Disaster.  In addition to a traditional Chaos summon, he's also got a Dark Simorgh-esque summon.  It also gives you an easy way to get a REDMD in the grave for his effect(and makes for a more powerful Future Fusion opening).  Finally, him being level 6 is important thanks to a new xyz in Galactic Overlord.  All in all, he's a pretty good card, but doesn't fit into most Disaster Dragon decks.  One exception to that is my Egg build that I recently posted on YouTube, that can easily run multiple tribute monsters with ease.  With Torrential Tribute coming to 2 and Call being unlimited, this in definitely a card to look out for.

Also known as Garchomp.  While I was more excited for him when Pulsar had the text change, he hasn't played too spectacularly in my deck.  A unique thing about Darkflare is that sending from the deck to the grave is a cost, so veiler/fiendish chain can't stop his toolboxing.  I believe the reason he didn't shine too much in my deck is that Dragon Ravine already provided enough toolboxing for me, and the banishing effect is only useful in certain matchups.  Being level 5 hurts him as well, as he can't be used for the new rank 6 dragon.  Still, he's a great card in his own right, and I'm currently trying to put more pressure on him by taking out my copies of Terraforming.  He's probably a better choice for standard Disaster Dragon than Pulsar at the moment, if only as a side deck option.

Probably the card most dragon players were looking for in the new deck, basically a REDMD in trap form.  Except where REDMD is a +1, this card is normally a -1.  Many might ask: "Why not just use Call of the Haunted instead?".  The answer is that this card:

1. Doesn't target
2. Can summon REDMD even with Koa'ki Meiru Drago on the field
3. Isn't negated by S/T removal

Similar to Burst Breath, one would want to use this card when the opponent activates something that would get rid of your on-field dragon anyway.  One could even argue that this card is better than Burst Breath, as it can summon any dragon from your hand/grave, where Burst Breath can only destroy some monsters.  I personally haven't done any testing with it, but it certainly has the most potential for use in standard Disaster Dragon decks out of the new cards.

Galactic Overlord
This set has quite a few new dragons, most notably the new 'Hieroglyph'(Holy Marked in the OCG) archetype that focuses on spamming their level 8 vanilla dragon for quick xyzs.  While I thought it was different in my past YouTube video, it turns out the effect that all the Hieroglyphs have is: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF become 0.  This means that they are able to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon, making them great support for the Egg, as well as decks focusing on Red-Eyes B. Dragon.

Hieroglyphs

GAOV-JP019
Seikokuryuu - Dragongeiv (Geb, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV4 1800/400
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF become 0. When this card is Released: Special Summon 1 "Seikoku" Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.

Basically a Shura for the archetype.  1800 attack, when it destroys a monster by battle you get to summon a BEWD/REBD.  Its second effect relates to their 'shine ball', a level 8 0/0 vanilla dragon.  A good card, not quite sure how it'll fare in the Egg just yet.

GAOV-JP020
Seikokuryuu - Asetdragon (Isis, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV5 1900/1200
You can Normal Summon this card in face-up Attack Position without Releasing monsters. If you do, this card's original ATK becomes 1000. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Dragon-Type Normal Monster; until the End Phase, the Levels of all "Seikoku" monsters on the field become the same as it. When this card is Released: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF become 0.

An easy way to get out xyzs quickly.  While its stats leave much to be desired, you can summon it while you've got a BEWD on the field to get out an instant rank 8.  The effect that triggers when it's tributed can also grab BEWD, so if you tribute it for say redmd, along with another Hieroglyph, you can instantly get out something huge like Thunder-End Dragon or Neo-Galaxy Photon Dragon.  This card serves its purpose well as a great follow-up to something like a Geib play, easily getting out the boss monster of the Archetype.

GAOV-JP021
Seikokuryuu - Nepthedragon (Nephthys, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV5 2000/1600
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Releasing 1 "Seikoku" monster you control. Once per turn: You can release 1 other "Seikoku" monster you control or in your hand to target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that target. When this card is Released: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF become 0.

And here start the big plays.  A nice card for the archetype, but lets take a look at what it can do for the Egg:

First off, it can tribute itself to summon itself.  Meaning, you could summon it with its effect, summon another, and BAM!  Thunder End/Boss monster.  Because of how the archetype works, its summoning conditions end up not minus-ing you.  A great play for this card is:
1.Special Summon a Hieroglyph that summons a bewd when tributed(or simply already have one on the field.
2. Tribute it to summon this guy, along with a BEWD.
3. Tribute this guy to summon Light Pulsar Dragon, summoning a second BEWD.
4. Xyz summon Thunder-End, blow up the field and grab yourself a REDMD from the grave.
5. Summon the BEWD you just detached and swing for game.

GAOV-JP023
Seikokuryuu - Shiyuudragon (Shu, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV6 2200/1000
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Releasing 1 "Seikoku" monster you control. Once per turn: You can Release 1 other "Seikoku" monster you control or in your hand to target 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy that target. When this card is Released: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF becomes 0.

This guy is basically a beefier version of Nephthys that destroys backrow instead of monsters.  He's the superior version to run in The Egg, as being level 6 is important for the new rank 6.  Another combo a forgot to mention with these guys involves Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

1.Special Summon a Hieroglyph that summons a bewd when tributed(or simply already have one on the field.
2. Tribute it to summon this guy, along with a BEWD.
3. Tribute BEWD to summon Light Pulsar Dragon
4. Tribute this guy and LPD to summon GEPD, along with REDMD and BEWD.
5. You've got enough for game, but for overkill you can use redmd to summon another BEWD, and xyz summon Neo-Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon.

GAOV-JP022 - Rare
Seikokuryuu - Tofenidragon (Tefnut, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV6 2100/1400
If your opponent controls a monster while you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If you do, this card cannot attack during this turn. When this card is Released: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF become 0.

Another Cyber Dragon for us dragon players.  Except this one isn't as wimpy as Vice Dragon, and is level 6 to boot!  A pretty straightforward card, he's what makes crazy plays possible with Shu and Nephthys.  He might see some play in standard Disaster as well, since a Level 6 Cyber Dragon for us is pretty damn good.

GAOV-JP024 - Rare
Seikokuryuu Usirdragon (Osiris, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV7 2600/700
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT Dragon-Type monster and 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your Graveyard. If this card on the field would be destroyed, you can Release 1 other face-up "Seikoku" monster you control instead.

A mini-boss for the archetype, pretty sweet for a pure build, but lackluster for hybrids.  I really like the summoning requirements though.

GAOV-JP025 - Super Rare
Seikokuryuu Setekdragon (Set, the Holy Marked Dragon)
Light Dragon / Effect
LV8 2800/2000
Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 Dragon-Type Normal Monsters in your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target.

The Archetype's DAD.  Unfortunately summoning him means banishing your entire engine, unless you pull together some sweet Alexandrite Dragon build.  Personally I don't think it's worth the space; I'd rather have 3 BEWD looping around than  a once-per-turn-DAD.

GAOV-JP047 - Super Rare
Seikokuryuuou Atums (Atum, the Holy Marked Dragon Emperor)
Light Dragon / Xyz / Effect
RK6 2400/2100
2 Level 6 Dragon-Type monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck, but its ATK and DEF become 0. This card cannot attack during this turn.

This is the card I've been talking so much about.  Hopefully now you see why level 6 dragons are so important.  This guy summons any dragon from your deck, the only stipulation being that it can't be used for battle(0atk/def isn't very threatening) and Atum can't attack that turn.  Summon REDMD, use his effect.  Summon a tuner, sync with it.  Summon a hieroglyph and tribute it for more loops.  I just can't say enough about this card.  Who knows how high Konami will rarity bump this, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Secret Rare.

GAOV-JP048 - Ultra Rare / Ultimate
Seikokushinryuu Ennead (Ennead, the Holy Marked Divine Dragon)
Light Dragon / Xyz / Effect
RK8 3000/2400
2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Release any number of monsters you control or in your hand, and destroy up to that many cards on the field.

The boss for this archetype.  While 2 generic level 8s is a bit scary(Grapha, Grapha everywhere), it does make for Mind Control becoming a key card in this deck.  That 0/0 BEWD you have can fuse with your opponent's Stardust Dragon into this big dude.  Also, Van'Dalgyon becomes this guy instant should you negate an opponent's monster effect.  This card is also interesting in that it can tribute cards from your hand(similar to rituals), so you can trigger your Hieroglyph effects from your hand.  I'm not sure for the rulings on this, but it appears than tributing and destroying cards are both the effect, so optional effects(like LPD) may work with this guy.  Luckily all the Hieroglyph monster's have mandatory effects, so he'll be amazing either way.

GAOV-JP056 - Rare
Shoushuu no Seikokuin (Holy Marker of Gathering)
Spell Normal
Add 1 "Seikoku" monster from your Deck to your hand.

That's right, any monster.  Go ahead, grab that cyber dragon and summon it.  Need Shu to get your loop going?  Well just add it to your hand!  Seriously, this is what would make that Cyber Dragon worth running in standard Disaster Dragon.  Not only is a a cyber dragon we can use for Atum, but there's a rota for it.  Also, this card makes the archetype extremely viable.

GAOV-JP071 - Rare
Massatsu no Seikokuin (Holy Marker of Obliteration)
Trap Normal
Release 1 "Seikoku" monster you control to target 1 card your opponent controls; banish that target.

Yep, good S/T support.  They get their own Oblivion Ring.  While this card might not make it into a deck teching a few Hieroglyphs, you better believe it's going to be used in a pure deck.

GAOV-JP057
Chouryoku no Seikokuin (Holy Marker of Supreme Force)
Spell Normal
Special Summon 1 "Seikoku" monster from your hand.

Just a way to get combos going.  Probably won't be used much in Hybrids due to the inherent -1.

GAOV-JP072
Hansha no Seikokuin (Holy Marker of Reflections)
Trap Counter
When an Effect Monster's effect or a Spell/Trap Card is activated: Release 1 "Seikoku" monsters you control; negate that activation and destroy that card.

Well this seems totally fair.  A counter trap you can use to easily get your effects off.  While normally these type of counter traps suck, because of the focus on tributing monsters in the archetype this one is quite good.  Personally I prefer Champion's Vigilance though.

Other GAOV Dragons

GAOV-JP001
Elekiterudragon (Wattdragon)
Light Dragon
LV6 2500/1000
A dragon who's constantly surrounded by electricity that floats in midair. It has existed since the ancient times, but its ecology remains a mystery. Due to Ancient Rules, capturing of it has been prohibited.

Why am I mentioning a new vanilla?  Well if you noticed, he happens to be level 6.  Meaning Tefnut->Shu=Atum.  Without normal summoning, you just got a turn 1 Atum.  I'm going to try one of these in the Egg hybrid I'm working on, since you can recycle him from the hand/deck/grave.

GAOV-JP041 - Ultra Rare / Ultimate Rare / Holographic Rare
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
Light Dragon / Xyz / Effect
RK8 4500/3000
3 Level 8 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material: Negate the effects of all other currently face-up cards on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; detach all Xyz Materials from Xyz Monsters your opponent controls. During this turn, this card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material detached, and can attack a maximum numbers of times equal to the amount of Xyz Materials detached during the same Battle Phase.

What a monster.  And he can be summoned easily in the egg/hieroglyphs... oh boy.  Basically the Trident Dragion of ZeXal, he is going to be a ton of fun to use.  Not much more I can say, 4500 beatstick than negates every other face-up card on summon.

GAOV-JP046 - Super Rare
Jinrai no Kishi Gaia Dragoon (Gaia Dragoon the Thunderous Knight)
Wind Dragon / Xyz / Effect
RK7 2600/2100
2 Level 7 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 Rank 5 or 6 Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials for this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

The summoning conditions are what make this guy worth running.  Use a spent xyz to bring out this guy, heck you can just revive one with redmd and summon him.  Best of all it doesn't need xyz materials for its effect.  Mind Control on your opponent's big xyzs is another great play with this gaia.

GAOV-JP049 - Rare
Ryuumajin Queen Dragun (Queen Dragun the Dragon Majin)
Dark Dragon / Xyz / Effect
RK4 2200/1200
2 Level 4 monsters
Dragon-Type monsters you control, other than "Ryuumajin Queen Dragun", cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target, but its effects on the field are negated, and it cannot attack during this turn.

Now here's a great card for Disaster Dragon.  A good +1ing rank 4 xyz.  She can provide a measure of protection for your KKM Drago(although you can't summon her with him on the field), and revives an army of beatsticks.  The best card to revive with her is probably Light Pulsar Dragon, and you'll still get to revive REDMD if it somehow dies.

Intro to my Blog

Hey there guys, welcome to my blog!  Basically, I'll post stuff about Yugioh/Skryim/LoL/etc., similar to my YouTube channel.  Some of you may know me from Tcgplayer/Pojo as Sartory, Sartory2 on LoL(the guy holding onto Sartory still goes on every few weeks to keep the name from me -.-), Dragonology99 from Youtube, and  Sartory on DN/everywhere else.  Yugioh-wise, I play Dragons, Psychics, and Dragunities; In LoL I play mostly Tanky dps AD chicks; Skyrim my main is an Argonian Archer/thief.  Unfortunately my computer isn't strong enough to record skyrim, but I'll still share builds/tips/etc. on it.  I haven't tried recording LoL yet, I'm guessing I can.  You guys probably won't want to see me stream games or whatnot, since I stick to normal games with my friends.  I can post links to the builds I've made on mobafire if you guys want.  All that recording stuff is mainly for youtube though, this blog will be nice and text-filled.  Enjoy the blog!
